SUMMARY:Future Form Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Future Form\nExhibition Dates: June 24 – July 29, 2026\nOpening Reception: Saturday, July 11, 2026, 6pm-8pm\nFlorida CraftArt presents Future Form, a curated exhibition examining the intersection of technology and traditional craft. The exhibition brings together artists who integrate digital tools, innovative processes, and emerging technologies with time-honored techniques, expanding the possibilities of material and making.\nFeaturing a range of works, Future Form highlights how artists across the country are reimagining craft in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Curated by Virginia–based artist and Fab Lab Coordinator Mary Ratcliff, the exhibition showcases contemporary makers from across the nation.\nGuest Curator\nMary Ratcliff is an artist and educator whose work explores the intersection of art, technology, and material practice. Based in North Virginia, she works within a state-of-the-art fabrication facility supporting hands-on, interdisciplinary learning and fosters innovation through experimentation and process-based making. Her work spans a range of professional and collaborative experiences, including freelance design work and contributions to projects with MGA Sculpture Studio, SwayBox Studios, and Skyrim Studio, as well as leading a National Science Foundation–funded welding and fabrication initiative. Across these roles, she brings together technical expertise and creative inquiry to support an evolving, interdisciplinary approach to contemporary art and fabrication.\n \nJoin us for the opening reception on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 6pm-8pm at 501 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL, 33703.\n
