Meet Gianna Pergamo

Gianna Pergamo is a mixed media artist who is originally from Brooklyn, New York and is now living in St. Petersburg, FL. Gianna earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. She established her own studio in the Pinellas Park Arts Village at Studios@5663, where she creates artwork and welcomes visitors for the Arts Village’s Fourth Saturday Block pARTy.

From the studio, Gianna also runs her illustration and gift company Pergamo Paper Goods, which focuses on vintage inspired collage art for fellow animal lovers. Some of her most recognizable pieces are an alligator in a red polka dot dress, and a white mermaid cat. Gianna is a 2020 Creative Pinellas Emerging Artist Grantee, for which she created five new animal mermaid collages, each with a time lapse “making of” YouTube video. Gianna has recently exhibited at the “Come Out” St. Pete Art Show and “Woof, Meow, Chirp, Slither” at Florida CraftArt. She also displays at and donates work to the St. Petersburg and Tampa Florida Equality Galas.
