Meet Jan Wunsch 

Jan Wunsch moved to Florida in the 1980s. Jan has taught music, and played the organ in churches. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Hartt College of Music, University of Hartford, Connecticut. 

As a member of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths Workshops, Jan discovered her passion for jewelry. Over the past four decades, she has been awarded top honors and awards all over the state of Florida, including at Florida Craft Art; Mainsail Arts Festival, St. Petersburg; Art Harvest in Dunedin; and others. Jan contributed to the making of the book Classical Loop-in-Loop Chains by Jean Stark. In this ancient technique, each link is made from wire, fused closed with a torch, then interlocked into a uniquely flexible chain. Graduated chains, which use small changes in link size and gauge, opened new vistas for necklaces, bracelets and earrings. This gives a contemporary interpretation to this classical technique.
