Founded in 1951, Florida CraftArt is a members-supported, statewide nonprofit gallery with a mission to serve contemporary fine craft artists and the creative economy in Florida. “Oh, the places we can go!” is a juried exhibition of handmade fine crafts where artists have created imaginative pieces inspired by places they’ve been or would like to go. From around the state, 37 artists created more than 80 pieces in ceramics, fiber, glass, metal and wood.
Florida CraftArt presents the “Environmentally Engaged” exhibition and programming where artists express ideas about the environment, the impending effects of climate change, and human being’s relationship with the natural world. Visitors will be challenged to contemplate their connection to the earth through their actions.
