A simple bite of something delicious can hit the tripwire of memory and send us back in time. Writer Marcel Proust made this phenomenon famous with the buttery Madeleine cookie. Join food writer and teacher Janet Keeler for “Tending Your Family’s Recipes” at 10:30 a.m. March 28 for Madeleines and a discussion of heirloom recipes. Bring a copy of a favorite family recipe and the story behind it.
As an added bonus, Locale Market’s culinary director Don Pintabona will contribute a favorite family treat.
