Four performances on Racism, Tolerance and Acceptance
February 11, 5:30 p.m.
During the St. Petersburg’s Celebration of the Arts featuring tolerance and acceptance, there will be four 10-minute performances called “The Art of Healing” on February 11. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments.
A short play performed by Mimi Rice and Stephanie Roberts will be followed by a dance performance with Julliard-trained Helen French and Charlotte Johnson, poetry with Maureen McDole and Denzel Johnson-Green, and a vocal performance with Alex Harris and Barbara Mazer Gross.
The play, “Waiting on the Green Bench” was written by Kubby and Katie Deits.
“The Art of Healing” evening is sponsored by Massey Law Group.
This is part of programming for the exhibition “Inside the World of Public Art” that was made possible with funding from AARP Tampa Bay, City of St. Petersburg, Creative Pinellas, Duke Energy, Kathryn Howd and Edward Rucks, Massey Law Group, David and Becky Ramsey, State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs.
