Open, juried exhibition at Florida CraftArt!
June 24 – August 13, 2016
Opening Reception: Friday, June 24th 5:30-8:30pm
Though storytelling is often a verbal or written presentation, stories surround us in every detail of our lives. Our imaginations soar when we see a whimsical piece, childhood memories are triggered by certain colors and shapes, textures remind us of another time in our lives.
A Well-Crafted Tale is an open, juried exhibition of fine craft with an emphasis on storytelling. Artists from around the country submitted artwork which was juried by Amanda Cooper, curator at the Morean Arts Center, St. Petersburg. The result is a fascinating collection of humorous, intriguing and sometimes even dark pieces which will inspire you to imagine your own story.
Programming: All events are free and open to the public
Thursday, June 23rd World Typewriter Day- Catch a preview before the opening!
