About Tom

Tom Davis grew up on a small farm in Missouri and afterwards spent twenty-seven years in the Air Force, retiring as a colonel. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Professional Management and a Doctorate in Educational Administration and Higher Education. 

After meeting Angelo Garzio, a ceramic artist, in 1972, Tom was shown the beauty of ceramics and shortly after became fascinated with the medium. Working in high-, mid-, and Raku-fire, he is inspired by his beautiful bride and oriental works among others. Tom tells us there are no special care instructions for his pieces. The high- and mid- fire are all food safe. However, the Raku is very delicate. The wooden implementations are finished in olive oil and are food safe.
